When you dial the 1-800 number for auto glass claims most of the time you are not talking with your insurance company. You are calling a “network” claims processing center with their own glass shops. They will, of course, try to encourage you to schedule with them! Luckily for you, Auto Glass Plus is an insurance approved affiliate of these “networks” (We bill at insurance approved rates using your insurance approved system). Yes we do. We do chip repair as a walk-in service on weekdays between 8am and 4:30pm.The repair process takes about 20-30 minutes and costs $59.99. We can typically repair damage up to the size of a Quarter. We can bill your insurance directly if you have a claim assigned to our shop.

Yes, we do camera calibration for every major vehicle manufacturer. We have been doing camera calibrations for more than 6 years.

What is ADAS?
The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) uses image processing cameras, radar, sonar and other sensors to monitor vehicle surroundings and detect potentially dangerous situations.

In the auto glass replacement industry, we are primarily concerned with the front facing camera mounted on the windshield next to the rear-view mirror. The front facing camera is used in the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) or Lane Keep Assist (LKA) in equipped vehicles.

Our normal retail pricing and quoting is for Aftermarket glass. We will order OEM (dealer) glass for any customer who requests OEM glass. We can also supply OEM parts for Tesla and Rivian vehicles.

Be careful getting quotes for OEM glass. Some companies use the term OEE (original equipment equivalent) which is NOT the same as OEM glass from the dealership. All aftermarket glass parts can be considered OEE because they are all an ‘equivalent’ part that fits the vehicle correctly. OEE parts are NOT from the dealership.

We can reseal windows, but we must diagnose the problem before we know if resealing is actually a service that will solve the problem.

We can do a window leak diagnosis and sunroof drain clearing service in about one hour. We will give the customer recommendations for repair after the diagnosis is complete. We only do leak repairs for windows, but we can offer a lot of good information if we believe the leak problem is not related to a window seal. The majority of suspected leaks come from clogged sunroof drains.

Not all glass installations are the same. There are shortcuts and cost cutting products used by some companies that can compromise the safety & fit of your glass. Most of the time no, a safe installation can be achieved on a mobile basis. As a full service shop we can offer the convenience of a mobile installation but during the cold, rainy Northwest weather we will recommend an in shop installation to achieve the safety standards our customers have come to expect. Be wary of mobile only installers who have no choice but to mobile in all weather conditions. Our mobile service area for windshield and other auto glass replacement covers the Kitsap Peninsula from the Belfair-Allyn area through Port Orchard and Silverdale up to Kingston and Bainbridge Island.

Most glass installations require 2-4 hours total. Once the old glass has been removed and the new one set in place with urethane (the bonding agent), the car must set for at least half an hour to allow the urethane to harden enough to meet the manufacturer’s safe drive away time. We use one of the best quality urethane adhesives on the market with a 30-minute safe drive away time.
